Ericsson has operated for some 37 years in Papua New Guinea as a major provider of telephony equipment. In 1996 it became the first company to gain ISO 9001 certification. In 2001 the Ericsson operation in PNG was sold to a new PNG company now ConXions Ltd.

The purpose of the change was to create a stronger local focus on the converging telephone, data and mobility markets. Ericsson formed a new worldwide enterprise to create Damovo who are one of our major suppliers and has recently been acquired by Telstra Australia and is renamed as Telstra Business Systems. In conjunction with Telstra Business Systems we have strong relationships with vendors who add to our overall one-supplier solutions. ConXions Ltd is a major supplier of business telephone systems and other Telecommunication equipment ranging form Satellite, Radio, Microwave, wireless LAN, Routers, Multiplexers, mobiles and Cables and accessories in PNG and offers customers considerable choice in equipment and facilities including call accounting, unified messaging and other specific applications.

Its major customers include mining and petroleum, National and Provincial Governments, Banking and Finance, State authorities and business houses. Emphasis is placed upon staff training and quality standards in order to meet our customer commitments and maintain customer satisfaction levels.
